Another busy day around here. I went in 12 hours early for a sick colleague, then pulled my regular 24-hour schedule. The day started about 5 am and there was no rest until about 3 p.m., when I finally got a nap & a shower. We were running all sorts of calls and driving all over our area covering for other units. It was fairly slow until midnight, when we started up again until 4 a.m.
Today is 'honey do day' - Nancy has a whole list of stuff that needs to be done. I've been outside finishing off the cherry tree that I've been cutting down for the past week. It's taken me a week because I have a P.O.S. chain saw that I bought from Walmart. As I was dropping the last of the bigger branches, my neighbor just happened to mention that he had a chainsaw. A Husqvarna monster. Arrr Arrrr ARRRR! If I had that, I could have had the whole tree down in about an hour. Oh well, I'm using it to buck up the bigger pieces and cut the stump to ground level.
OK - break's over. Back to working on the list...
